CELEBRATION

Are children allowed? 
“Duh.” — Baby Matt

Will food and drinks be provided?
Yep! BBQ, sides, desserts, and beverages (for kids, adults, and designated drivers!) will be provided. If you would like to bring your beer or drink of choice, no party has ever had too much alcohol.

Is alcohol allowed at the Park?
“Duh.” — Jessica Fast. It wouldn’t be a Matt Fast party without it. We have a permit, and beer will be provided. If you’re drinking, just be safe and make sure you have a sober ride home. (New users can get $10 off their first Lyft ride, using code FMF19)

How late is the party?
This will be very casual. People are encouraged to come/go whenever they like. Food will be served around 12:30-3:00pm. So come when you can and stay as long as you want! The party will officially end when Parks & Rec kick us out. When the sun goes day, we’ll be sending off laterns with “Happy Birthday” and “I miss you” messages to Matt.

Do we have to participate in the tournament to attend?
Nope.

CHARITY CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT

What time does the tournament start?
Round 1 begins promptly at 1:00pm.

I’ve never played, can I participate? 
Yep! You’ve got plenty of time to practice and we all promise not to judge you too much.

Do I have to purchase an attendee ticket if I am also playing in the tournament?
Nope. The attendee ticket is for those not participating in the tournament and helps cover the event and includes a donation to the Friends of the Child Advocacy Center.

What are the rules?
We’ll follow the official American Cornhole Rules.

Who keeps score?
The teams playing will keep their own score, so make sure before you start that between the 4 people playing someone knows how to keep score. (See the rules.) There will be a Tournament Commissioner to answer any questions.

Do I need to bring my own cornhole board?
Boards for all of the teams will be provided. But if you have a board that you would be willing to lend for the party, please send an email to: matthewryanfast@gmail.com. Thank you to everyone who brought boards previously!

Can I change my team name?
Yep! In order to change your team name, log back into your Eventbrite order. There you’ll be able to “edit” your order, including the team name. Or email matthewryanfast@gmail.com.

Will you be selling t-shirts again this year?
Yep! We’ve changed up the color and design, check it out. Deadline to order is: Thursday, Aug. 14. Limited sizes and quantities may be available at the event.

Can I order a Forever Matt Fast shirt but not play in the tournament?
Yep!

How do I get my Forever Matt Fast t-shirt?
Please plan to pick up your shirt(s) at the picnic on Saturday, Sept. 26. If you can’t pick them up, we’ve added an option to pay for the shipping which is $5.95 for up to 2 shirts. To add shipping, once you’ve selected your shirts at the bottom of the order page you’ll see additional options. Add shipping to your cart.
